What makes organic milk organic?

    The cows are not given hormones.

    Organic milk is organic because the grass they are fed is NOT pesticidal and they are not fed growth hormones unlike regular milk.It also has to be CERTIFIED ORGANIC before it can be approved by the USDA as organic milk....(hope it helps)
