Why Won’t Responsible Liberals Reign In Their Most Radical Members?

Tell it to Rush and Hannity and stop whining like a little girl. Conservatives arent welcome on University Campuses because most conservative views are ignorant and uninformed and Universties are dedicated to learning and intellectual honesty.

First the Left media doesn`t show video of these attacks by these zealots or even report about them so most liberals have no idea they even happen.

Yes it is true you can only see it on FOX. Not because FOX made it up but because the rest of the media omits reporting about it.

When told about the intolerance they think your talking about someone discussing something. Like a Bill Oreilly interview.

They as Liberals defend the right of free speech of their fellows as we do. However, even Liberals would not defend the attacks, some even physical, on speakers if they saw it.

Many universities don`t even allow the Right the opportunity to speak. Thus Liberals haven`t even heard the other side except through a left filter that tells them there is nothing to hear.

Liberals have been taught to equate the Right with a Nazi, a bomb thrower, and KKK. Therefore what you say is irrelevant to them and your suppression is probably a good thing. The Liberals are told not to listen to anything the Right has to say. Don`t listen to talk radio and don`t watch FOX News.

The liberal Red Guard are there for one reason and that is to silence opposition to them.

Many of the answers here show just how ignorant these Liberals are of the whole thing.

I don't think there is such a thing as a responsible liberal. I would call that type of person a moderate Democrat. How can liberals be such hypocrites? They are full of hatred, atheism and ignorance, all of the things we teach our children not to be. Maybe they were abused as children and that's why they grew up with a distorted view of the world.

Now to be totally fair and balanced there is a certain faction that is rude and overstep the boundaries of respect. These are not the liberal who would listen to the voice of reason.

Most universities are liberal and the students who attend there have been indoctrinated by their liberal parents, and the university so they actually aren't the ones to blame for this type of attitude, especially in a group of their peers.

However, I find that many would like to hear an opposing point of view if you are able to speak to them away from the pressures. This Is how I learned Conservatism, and how much more sense it made, especially in economics and foreign policy.

Then there are those who refuse to listen or let another person to express an opposing opinion, and it is these people that are dangerous. I have to say people like skin heads, the KKK, Racists, bigots, and others of that ilk, and extremists that meet on both ends of the spectrum.

This is true of both sides. Both will try and talk over a person who is presenting an idea that does not "vibe" with their own.

And you know why they do this?

Mostly because the American people listen to the person who talks the loudest, and not the person with the most reasoned arguement.

Why do you think extreme liberals and conservatives get as far as they do? Don't you think if people listened to reason then there would be more moderates in our system.

Freedom of speech is something we cherish. Liberals won't "reign in their most radical members" because we realize that would limiting their right to speak out.

In many cases, 'radical' is subjective. I don't trust anyone to decide who is radical, who isn't. Just because someone disagrees with me doesn't make them wrong.

Hey you hear me railing against Obama. I am a responsible liberal. Obama is not qualified to run our country so I rail against him. He is not even credible as commander in chief. He is racist and anti-american. He is too liberal. He hangs with an unrepentent terrorist involved in bombing us buildings. I am totally opposed to his candidacy and I want him to just go away. I am a lifelong dem and I guarantee that I will vote McCain if Obama gets the dem nom. I am doing all that I can to stop Obama from becoming pres because I am a responsible liberal.

I am sure the people of Oklahoma City are thankful that conservatives reigned in Timothy McVeigh.

I don't think they do, but I also don't see 'responsible' conservatives reigning in their radical members either....this is not a one way street.

Each group protects their own, its apart of group think....
