I need a System/Program to keep all my Customer Info, Inventory, etc.. Any body have advice on which system?
I am currently working for a website, here at my job they have a system that holds all there customer information, inventory information, vendor informtion, etc. 90% of the work is done in this system, the orders are processed in this system. I am starting up my own Online Business, does anybody have any recommendations as to what systems to look into? Price range that they systems might cost? Basically I want a program/system that I can keep all my customer information, all my inventory, all my vendor information, and anything else I might need. I need some help from someone who knows what it takes to run a small business...Any help would be appreciated..

I hate to say it, but your question is a little too open ended for any specific advice. That said, I can infer a few things and offer the following:
First, never believe that any solution will provide you with exactly what you need. This is impossible unless the software is designed for a business operating exactly the way you do with the exact same processes and exact same needs.... which basically means it was built for YOUR business.
Second, any system will require maintenance, backups, upgrades, etc. The more complicated a system is and the more it does the more complicated and expensive this on-going maintenance will be. The less complicated a system, the easier to maintain but the less it will be able to do for you.
Third, programs and systems are nothing more than tools to enable a user to perform tasks faster. More often than not, the approach to purchasing software solutions is the "what will this software allow me to do" instead of "will this software do what I want it to do." The distinction seems small, but in reality is huge.
Start by planning out how you want to run your business. Determine how you want to relate customers and suppliers to inventory. Determine your needs and then start shopping around for solutions.
How much inventory do you need to track?
Do you need real-time inventory tracking?
Do you want/need customer history?
Do you want invoicing and purchasing abilities?
Is it important to tie in accounting software?
There are a million questions you need to ask yourself and have answered before you start actually purchasing.
