Is it safe to travel to Ireland, and is it costly on hotels and shopping?

Yes, Ireland is relatively safe to travel to, however as with anywhere there are pick pockets etc. Dublin city centre is as safe as you can expect, just don't take expensive cameras and the like into rough areas at night.

With the Dollar at a record low against the Euro, you'll not get as much bang for your buck. Ireland has always been relitively expensive compared to the rest of Europe,

If you do visit, go to the "Auld Dubliner" pub, in temple bar. Go on a thursday or Friday night and there's a fair chance you'll see me there!
