Should I date a woman even though I'm not really attracted to her?

Well I don't think there's anything wrong with just going out on a date with her, you know for dinner or whatever, but as friends. But it seems like you are acting out of desperation slightly, and that's not good for you. I mean, if she's not your type, then she's not your type, don't waste your time or her time. I'm sure it's difficult that you have never dated anyone before, but don't compromise yourself.

You said you don't feel she is your type . If she is not your type then the answer to your question is no .

It would be very unfair to her if you did since you feel that her personality & looks are " average " , and that you feel that she is not your type .

Do the woman a favor ... don't ask her out .

Sounds like you have some issues you need to sort out. It seems that there's an underlying reason why you don't date, and immediately write off a woman you have a chance with.

I think that you should because life is too short and even if after you dated her you still think that she is average then breakit off with her but you may aswell give the lady a break and yourself a break because if you dont you might regret it so go for it!!

I met a boy and didnt think that he was anything special but once i got to know him i seen the real him and he was great and so funny we got along so well.

i don't think you should waste either of your times. you need to be attracted to someone to date them. i believe that aspect to be very important.

however, sometimes you can become attracted to someone after a while.. so if you're not 100% sure, then go on a few more dates with her and see how you feel afterwards. just make sure you don't lead her on.

for reals, you're middle aged and have never been on a date, and now you want to date someone you're not attracted to? ...hmm. if your question is legit, i would say no, you shouldn't date someone who's not your type. what do you think it would lead to? you'd probably just end up friends, so why complicate it by dating, just be her friend.

Maybe you are too picky that's why you have never dated anyone before? take a look at yourself...dont expect to find a person who is totaly out of your leauge... try to give her and yourself a chance or you will end up the way you are now... ALONE!

I want to say don't settle for less than your standards but what could hurt from one date? maybe you'll become to like her more or become more confident about dating and meeting other women. what do you mean by her personality and looks average? how does she act and look!?
