Error message: PCMService The Parameter Is Not Correct?

Please help I keep getting the above message on my laptop. Hundreds of times over in the last few minutes. Just reinstalled Vista after a problem.

How do I stop it?

i think you have lost all your updates and it sounds like its related to unmarked activex control which cant be disabled or something,,,try downloading it.
