thats ok, obama stastically cant win the GE. the people in here keep saying hillary cant win the nomination because of the math. well guess what, when you do the math, obama cant win the GE
Obama supporters ready to thank obama for making mccain the next president?
ok, look at it like this, as per last nights primaries.
when asked when exiting the polls...
39% of hillary voters said they would vote mccain if obama is elected.
17% of hillary voters said they refuse to vote if obama is nominated.
thats 56% of hillarys voters. so far the average for all primaries is ...
obama 52%
hillary 48%
Ok, now for the sake of it. Look at the fact that about 45% of america are democrats.
45% are republican
10% are independents.
so take 45% of democrats, split that by the 56% of voters that wont vote democratic if obama is nominated.
that makes...
25.2%.
That means 24.8% of democrats will vote for obama.
facst are there.
Now, say 15% of the people that say they wont vote for obama does vote for him.
Now we have 8.4 % margin to give obama, that brings him up to 33.4% of the democratic vote.
Thats ALL he will have, if you gave him another 5% error margin it still isnt enough to win.
people forget the fact that democrats only make up half of america.
Now, someone earlier said 13% of republicans are voting for obama. ok, lets add that!
that comes out to 46.4% of all of america that will vote for him!
NOW, lets deduct just HALF of the people that say they will vote for mccain if obama is in. I will take that 39% down to 17%
add that to the 46% mccain carries now (it should be the 53.6 but I am allowing for error) and that makes 63% of america pulling mccain into the presidency!
thank obama for helping to elect mccain as our next president.
obamas arrogance never fails!

I'm not sure, but I think for Republicans in some/all states the winner takes all delegates.

really? well i know that clinton won some good primaries, but there is a chance that obama might've been the nominee. besides he's supposedly going to be the demcratic nominee anyway, according to the news people. but maybe you're right

But they don't. It's easy to say, if the rules are different, the outcome would be different.
