GH: Is there vindication owed to AJ?

Carly and Jason's lies, Carly making AJ look and think he fell of the wagon, Sonny and the meat hook... all those efforts to keep Michael from his horrible father just to lead him to brain damage and an indefinite coma?

Update:

That would be intriguing if after all was said and done that this brings Michael closer to the Quartermains. I have to agree with Jennifer though, it was irritating to see AJ remain the status of the town's doormat and never receive the redemptions that character's that had done worse received. There was somewhat of a cause and effect between Carly and Sonny and AJ's decline.

Yes there most certainly is! Jason apologized to his grave when Jake was born but it certainly would be nice for him to visit again and apologize for not keeping HIS son safe! Carly should go there as well! She and Sonny did all they could to make AJ look unfit even when he was trying his darndest to get it right! That has always mad me so mad,Sonny and the meat hook....oh that still burns me! They all thought AJ was so unsafe and a MOBSTER was the safest parent choice, come on! They really screwed up with that one. I always thought AJ was mistreated and misunderstood by everyone, they never gave him a chance or a reason to get well! Sorry to rant but that was the one story that really made me angry with GH!

I think there's some vindication for AJ, considering Michael's current state. Yet, AJ was terrible too. He kidnapped his own son and brainwashed him into believing that his parents didn't want him anymore. That's a very ruthless and cruel thing to do to a child. So, while I don't think Sonny should have done those things to AJ, I don't know if AJ was the best candidate for father material either. I think the Quartermaine's should have been allowed to be a bigger part of Michael's life (like Monica, Alan, and Lila) but I still think Michael would have been better off w/o AJ as a role model/father figure. I also think Sonny should have stayed away from Michael as well, or stop being a gangster.

yes but u know what at the time jus like carly, jason and sonny most of us fans supported what they did(well at least i did) cuz they were the lesser of the 2 evils. in some warped way it made sense to keep micheal away from his alcoholic, loose canon father and his controlling manipulative extended family and place him in the middle of the mob. this whole coma sl has me thinking what kinda kid micheal would have been if carly and jason didnt lie about his paternity and allowed micheal to be a quartermaine. it also has me thinking if the writers intend to make micheal a jason in reverse. jason pulled away from his family and the life that he had been set to live after his accident. do the writers plan to have micheal embrace the quartermaines and accept the role that edward had always intended for him in the family and the business? it would be a total 180 from the life he was heading towards and it would be an interesting twist.

A.J. Should have gotten everything on tape that Sonny did to him, back in the day; the meat hook incident, nearly choking him; when he married Courtney on the balcony, shooting him, should have gotten Jason on tape beating him up, after an fight with Courtney at the Q.'s he would've had leverage against them. A.J.'s one problem was not standing up for himself enough, Edward should have taught him to do that more, first you never let Carly babes a son, by you and her away from you, because you forgot her name during a one-night stand and ran your brother over into a

Tree, I would like to think Jason forgave A.J. for that. General Hospital is the most warp-minded and Hyprocritcal soap on T.V.,

Imagine if Nikolas ran over Lucky, would Liz keep Aiden away from Lucky to spite him and let him, be raised by Nikolas I think not! Should change the name from General Hospital to General Hypocrites.

I don't agree, i did not like A.j and he would not made a good father, I love carly and Jason, did all there lies put micheal in the indefinite coma we don't know that. Sonny is a good father he made a bad chose by going in that wherehouse without peoction and micheal got shot. But Jason and Carly should not be blamed it worng.

Jason should be with liz right now and he not becaue of this and it not fair either no one is winner in this stoyline

Well, AJ is not dead, the role of AJ has been recast; and so I have every confidence that the character will finally get the vindication he deserves. As for Michael, I don't feel sad at all, as I truly believe that his "awakening" will not be too far off and will undoubtedly be at one of the most inopportune times.

I did think about all that when Jason was talking about taking Michael from AJ. He may have been a very flawed person but he did love his son and want him safe.
