Why is FOX news coverage of the Burma crisis ALOT less than BBC, CNN, SKY, etc?
I just changed to Fox and they are talking about SUVs
Im not saying you should ignore other news, but their coverage of such a huge event is sooo small
Drew C- Well yes thats true, but that is still a very stupid answer
Bill C- I dont disagree. Thats a very good point. But just because there are no reporters doesnt mean the issue should be ignored. They can use other media footage, interview legislators, interview relief workers, World Food Program. Its such a huge diaster
They can also discuss why American reporters and cargo planes are being denied access. Theres so much that can be covered.
Also remeber Somalia. Nothing happened until the media started playing a role. If the media ignores it then people will to
I just feel for Fox to be a legitimate news source, they should have better coverage of huge events like this.
Here in the UK we covered Hurricane Katrina even though it didnt effect us directly
I WANT TO BE COMPLETELY FAIR TO FOX NEWS
TO THEIR CREDIT THEIR WEBSITE IS COVERING IT

Because Myanmar isn't named in the 'Axis of Evil' , therefore not sensational enough to warrant coverage to the propaganda mongerers that run Fox News

The whole "bias" theory some maintain doesn't pan out. They're pro-Bush, correct? Well, the U.S. under the Bush Administration is pledging millions in aid to Burma, as well as offering to fly over to drop the aid off. The B.A. has been pushing for the junta to allow us in. That would be beneficial for Fox to cover this as if the relief, which just about all Americans support the dispersing of, is a product of the Bush Administration.

It probably reminds viewers of Katrina. Fox might like to get up on their high horse on this one but a humanitarian disaster the government knew was coming, thousands dead, and the government doing nothing about it is too close to home I think for even the dumbest of Fox viewers not to connect the two.
Simple answer, you can't blame the Democrats.

Burma has allowed only a few reporters into the country. None from the US. They have also seized all the supplies that have been brought in and are not allowing any more in. The US has 4 cargo planes ready to fly out of Thailand and 4 ships off the coast ready to help, but they are not allowed in.

Because they're trying to make a point which is: We don't care how much you suffer as long as you're not American.
I'm sure the rascals enjoy making this kind of point every opportunity they get.
Another point they're making is that human suffering doesn't matter in places that are of no strategic importance to the US.
Human rights are only used to further the poltical aims of Corporate USA around the world, and FOX is more than happy to help them along.

I watch CNN yet even they push particular agendas. MSNBC and FOX are basically a shaggy dog tale. i do no longer even difficulty. Sky is yet another snot rag of a company and BBC is basically the British FOX.

fox is a bit rubbish. i dont think there is much news coming in about burma because people arent allowed in. if they were then it would be like the 2004 tsunami and be all over the news.

Don't watch Fox. They are only interested in tabloid news and bashing Dems.
