WHY, WHY doesn't the bag of 'dried plums' state they ARE prunes?
I thought they were so yummy, I ate the whole bag at work. I didn't know they were prunes in disguise. The bag DOES NOT state that!

Why doesn't the bag of "prunes" state they are dried plums? I've always been irritated that we use a different name for something like dried plums. And raisins? Don't get me started.

The bag doesnt say that because prunes have been associated with being disgusting and therefore the companies sold less of them, especially to younger kids, but once they changed the name on the package to dried plums the consumers had no idea that they were prunes which because of this they sold more nd more of them
