99' ford taurus?

i'm thinking of buying a ford taurus with blown head gasket i dont know wether to tow it or drive it home..... distance from my house and the place where it is parked is about 10 miles... but if i decide to drive it will break down on me on the way, or will anything else mess up i need some recommendations from experts

    before you buy this car you find out wether the head gasket is a external leak or a internal head gasket leak. internal could be bad depending on how long has been leaking, you should pull the engine oil dipp stick to see the colour of the oil if it is a milky yellow colour this means antifreeze is getting into the engine ..NOT GOOD. if external should be ok to replace headgasket without problems. Should be towed either way. hope this helps.

    I used to work for Ford. Those cars are bad about blowing head gaskets. I would have it towed. Many times blown head gaskets can cause the car to overheat. If you overheat the car it is possible to warp the heads, or even the block. Bad things happen when cars are run too hot.
