Anyone know why Sterling Marlin is in the #40 this week?

I watched qualifying last night and was please to see Marlin qualified on time very well. I think he is like 16th or something. Anyway, I noticed he was in the #40 car. Just wondered what was going on. Is this the same #40 car as before, or a different one?

Because Dario Franchetti broke his ankle at Talladega, David Stemme drove the 40 last week. And yes this is the same Gannasi owned #40 Sterling drove for years(minus Coors Light which now sponsors DEI's 01 car.)

Because Dario Franchetti broke his ankle at Talladega in the busch race and Sterling was filling in for him

yes same car same team different sponsor

Dario Franchetti is injured, so Sterling Marlin is driving for him. It is the same team he used to race for.

He is filling in for the injured Dario Franchitti who got hurt at Talladega, Ganassi has had different drivers filling in for him..Hopefully he will be back in his own car in Charlotte..
