In a way, yes, your plate is a personal one. Since each plate is individually numbered, no two are the same, therefore, each is owned by one person. Your tag is one of 100 in the series Y00 through Y99 which end with the TUD.

It is not a vanity plate. Those have to be special ordered by you from your Department of Motor Vehicles or tax office whichever issues tags in your state.

The only thing about tag numbering systems that is constant anymore is the fact that they use numbers and letters. Auto tags usually have a total of six on a plate, however, that can vary from state to state.

A personalised plate is one which you keep no matter what car you have...the plate moves from car to car....this costs money which you pay to the DVLA to keep the same number....your particular number plate may be of some value if it was say....Y45 TUD as it could be made to look like YA STUD..... in which case it may be worth your while to keep the number as it will be worth something...you can pay to retain the number....is the uniqueness of the number and whether or not it makes a word which gives it value.

The numbers go from 1 - 999. Therefore the first 9 plates will be one digit and the next 90 will be two digits, and the rest will be three digits...

A personalized plate is something you order from the DMV. They are the ones that have a message you can decipher.
