Uploading a video onto computer?

Question

My dad taped me and by brothers boxing fights on his video camera and we wanted to upload them onto my brothers computer in order to put it on you tube,, well my dad put them onto his computer and then we went to try and put it into windows movie maker to like edit it liek to make it nice with like round 1 and stuff like that well it womnt let us,,,,,does any one no y?? is it becasue its on r computer as a MPEG format instead of WMV??? thanks

and if it is becasue of that how can i make it into WMV so i can edit it and put it on you tube??

Very easy for u with E.M. Youtube video download tool.

Just convert the video to avi or wmv format that can be imported to ur windows movie maker.

Windows movie make should let you import mpeg files. I am not sure if you are doing it right or may be the mpeg format you download form the camcorder is not supported. What program did you use to download the video on to the computer and also it would help to know the camcorder model. if your camcorder came with an editing software then may be try using that.

When importing footage into the program, a user can either choose to Capture Video (from camera, scanner or other device) or Import into Collections to import existing video files into the user's collections. The accepted formats for import are .WMV/.ASF, .MPG (MPEG-1), .AVI (DV-AVI), .WMA, .WAV, and .MP3. Additionally, the Windows Vista Home Premium and Ultimate editions of Movie Maker support importing MPEG-2 Program streams and DVR-MS formats. [6] Import of other container formats such as MP4/3GP, FLV and MOV ,MIDI, AIFF, AAC and SWF is not supported.

well about editing it on movie maker it should let you do that.
and there shouldnt be any problem.
but about you tube i really dont know but aslong as you have high internet speed you should be fine uploading it.
you can also search for a convertor MPEG to WMV see if that works

Yes, you are correct! For it to work in Windows Movie maker it has to be in a format it can use. WMV...
You will need a codec converter for that...
