existence. Nothingness.?

If one beleives:

The products of the human mind are no less works of God than the, the mountains, the rivers and the stars.

If one beleives even more:

Are the destructions, the famines and the wars no less products of the devil than Bush, Hitler and Cheney?

Do you beleive in the existence of evil?

Update:

Americans have not experience evil in the manner and intensity the Frech did during the Nazi occupation. Prompting Sartre to say "Evil can not be redemmed". And during an argument with an American, the talks quickly broke down. Sartre said, "he just does not believes in the exixtence of evil".

One does not know what love is unless one has loved. One does not know what evil is unless and until one has suffered at the hands of evil. These are things that can be learned without experience.

Update 2:

Americans (recent) have not experienced evil in the manner and intensity the French did during the Nazi occupation. Prompting Sartre to say "Evil can not be redemmed". And during an argument with an American, the talks quickly broke down. Sartre said, "he just does not believes in the existence of evil".

One does not know what love is unless one has loved. One does not know what evil is unless and until one has suffered at the hands of evil. These are things that can not be learned without experience.

The greatest evil is not done in those sordid dens of evil that Dickens loved to paint but is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clear, carpeted, warmed, well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. If you mean by "evil" you mean the devil or Satin. then that is a good question. One that we must answer for ourselves. You have a choice. You choose to believe one way or another. What do you believe? Do yo believe in Satin? If the answer is yes then you must also believe in God. It's physics that teaches us that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. That idea goes for everything. If "evil" or satin exists, then God must therefor exist. This is however, a round about way of reaching the same conclusion. God is real. And so is Satin. We have good and evil.

But make no mistake. God doesn't need to verify his existence. The devil does.

Everything exists and everything that exists is good. Evil can only exist as "wounded" good. Evil needs a host into which it can exist as wounded good. Evil is therefore a lack of good where only good can exist. Absolute evil is nothingness. Only good is positive and evil is negative. Evil hurts because of the imperfection of the good that is not whole.

Evil doesn't exist. Even if you do something that you think will benifit people, someone will think you're horrible for doing so. It's all about interpretation, or what your own personal ideas of right and wrong are.

I believe in the existence of people who do evil.

The concepts of good and evil are, in my mind, subjective in nature and the product of the human mind. They are not entities to them selves. We, as humans, define what is good and evil ourselves. Something is good or evil because the majority of us feel it is...

Is there such a thing as darkness?

What is the speed of dark?

As Darkness is merely an absence of Light.. so to is "evil" merely the absence of Good.

Sin is evil. We all sin. Satan is evil. Satan tempts us to sin.
