To make an irritating shirt NOT to irritate?

Do you know anything to make an itchy shirt NOT to irritate your skin?

I mean maybe some home remedies, like washing it in... orange juice or.. anything. ^^

Seriousle :)

Update:

Ah, yes, thank you K M, I forgot about that ^^

It says it's: 70% acrylic and 30% wool

What is the shirt made of? If it is any type of wool you may always find it itchy.

Another culprit could be starch. Or fabric softeners. Or not initially washing it before wearing it. But we need more info on the shirt to be helpful.

ETA: Ok it's a wool shirt so you are out of luck. There are fine wools that are very expensive. They use the long fibers of wool and are very smooth and non-irritating. Inexpensive (less than $100) wool uses the shorter strands of wool that are leftover so you will always have those fibers poking out at you. Nothing to do except wear a shirt underneath or stop buying wool. I opted for the latter a long while ago. Being uncomfortable is not worth it. Sorry!

Try washing it in cold water and add a cup of vinegar to the final rinse instead of fabric softener. It MAY soften it up a bit.
