Dont understand this particular dream sequence?
For the last couple of months, I've been having sleep problems (too much on my mind), and cuz of that I havent been able to sleep properly at nite and hence I couldnt remember any of my dreams for the longest time. A couple of days ago, i felt realyl relieved and that nite I actually had a good nite's sleep and I dreamt about my family (my parents, and brothers) and I remember every bit of that dream.
The next nite, the same sleep problems showed up and no rememberance of the dream but on the third nite, I dreamt again (good sleep) and this time I dreamt about a couple of girlfreinds and I remember every bit of that dream. Last nite, no sleep agian...
Why is that after such a long time, when I do rememeber my dream, its about my family and freinds...can someone please explain what is going on ???

The clarity of one set of dreams versus the turmoil / difficult to recall nature of others has to do with fatigue.
The more that is on the mind the more fatigue we tend to suffer; the more fatigue, the more difficult good sleep can be to obtain. The mind finds little rest and therefore little opportunity to create sensible themes in dreaming, much less leave us with good recall.
Finally, when we are able to settle into a good sleep the brain finds a more restful state in which to unload some things. Being more energized in this fashion, it can both project lucid or vivid dreams that are more easily recalled.
Why the subject matter - that is something that sounds perhaps more pleasant than not, and therefore perhaps remote from that which has been weighing on you? The answer may well come from the things that have dogged you - the mind needed a break. You needed a break - and since dreams often do guide us by revealing things that are needed - and known subconsiously - you were taken to greener pastures (assuming that is the case with these of whom you dreamt). In doing so consider that your inner mind may be telling you to focus more on such things - that can be the message here.
Whatever may be going on that is causing the sleeping problems, try to take time to focus a bit on the good - even if you have to fall back on memories and reflections of better times and company.
You will have to consider how these things may fit and help, but they do seem well suggested by what you have shared.
All the best to you.
