Plz Help! I downloaded a game (age of empires II) with utorrent. How do I play it?
There are two files, one is a read-me and the other just is labeled aoe2. When I click on it I am asked what program I want to use to open it and I don't know. Somebody please help me!
I dont want to know where I can buy it for so many $. I'm a college student on federal aid who has no extra $ and would like 1 fun game on my laptop.
i got the game from isohunt so maybe it is an ISO file
i tried to open it with a couple different things and I think it changed the file type to whatever I tried to open it with but none of them worked

Did you read the read-me file?? A lot of times it will have instructions that's why it was there. But if you need help I need to know the file extension on the aoe2 file. Right click on it, go to properties, and fine out what type of file it is. If you let me know that I can tell you how to play it.

If it is an ISO file, then all you need to do is download power ISO
They offer a free demo version and it is good to do mostly anything.
So you Download that, and then after you install it, you must use Power ISO to open your game file.

Chances are that the file type of aoe2 is either an image file (img, iso, daa, etc.) or a compressed file (7zip, rar, zip, etc.). If it is an image then you should use something like daemon tools or poweriso to mount it. Once mounted you should be able to install the game. if it is a compressed file you should try to use winrar or 7zip. Uncompress the files inside and then run the files depending on what's inside.

When it asks you "What do you want me to open this with?" does it say what file extension is? Example: .RAR file, .ISO file? If it is the game disk, it needs to be mounted, if it needs to be extracted, you need WinRAR.
