No, they are not. And they can not by law. Read Below - From the Marines website.
Enlistment into any branch of the U.S. military, by citizens of countries other than the United States is limited to those foreign nationals who are legally residing in the United States and possess a Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services Alien Registration Card (INS Form I-151/551 - commonly known as a "Green Card").
The U.S. military branches cannot assist foreign nationals in obtaining admittance into the United States. People overseas with questions concerning immigration to the United States should ask the local U.S. Embassy. Only after immigration procedures are completed and an applicant is legally residing in the United States may an application for enlistment be accepted.
The U.S. government agency which is responsible for immigration and naturalization is the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services within the Department of Homeland Security.

Nope, that is not true.
But it has been publized in Liberal blogs and web pages for some time.
It all started, because a Marine recruiter, went into Mexico in Tijuana, to speak with a naturalized US citizen, who was from mexico, but currently living in Tijuana.
Ther recruiter went to his house, but only after the naturalized citizen, had went to the Marine recruiting station in san diego.
But even that was illegal.
The Marine recruiter, was not legally allowed to go into mexico, to recruit, even though it was a US citizen.
Permanent Legal Residents, ( green card holders )
Can enlist in the military, under certain conditions.
But that the US has recruiting stations set up in foreign countries, is false and is usually found on the same webpages, that try and say the US has 20 times the casualties, that are actually reported.

I've obvious the tale & it is a very dangerous factor. Membership in such an group or any racist tatoo is permenantly disqualifying. Things are relocating so quick proper now within the recuiting international that it is rough to maintain up with, however expectantly those men and women are stuck alongside the best way & pushed aside. On the opposite facet of the coin, men and women do plenty of dull crap whilst they're immature. The army is usually a well situation to straighten out their lives & exhibit them minorities which can be incredibly sensible & legitimate in some way they have got in no way been uncovered to earlier than, and to seperate them from the tousled propoganda that made them think what they do. It's now not being performed through the army deliberately to make up for brief falls I promise you. The complete quantity of men and women in any such challenge in line with yr could be usually below 100, and possibly two of them pop out of the provider nonetheless pondering like that. I have not heard from my recruiter peers in recent times, however I'll wager there's a coverage letter simply arrived to be careful for those individuals looking to get in. Have a bit extra religion, be a bit extra optomistic.

No. For a non citizen to join, they must be a permanent resident alien prior to enlistment... This rules out recruiting across the border or of illegals.

18,000 Canadians crossed the border and joined American forces to fight in Vietnam. Three were Medal of Honor recipients.
