Would 1-year suspensions help curb the NCAA violations?

Even if Bush and Mayo are found guilty of NCAA violations, what punishment do they receive? None. How can we expect high school and college athletes to turn down money, gifts, etc form the boosters, agents, etc. if there are no reprocusions? Would a 1-year suspension in their respective profession league help curb the NCAA violations? Would a 1-year suspension be justified or would you find that excessive?

I was listening to Mike and Mike this morning and they brought up great points...

    1) Why don't agents and Boosters get punished?

    2) what real punishment does the athlete get?

    3) Why punish only the school?

I don't see how a professional league would go along with suspending a player for a year, because players become a product once they turn pro, with hopes that they will benifit whatever team they go to, players careers are short already, there is noway the NFl or the NBA would sit by and watch a player just sit around for a year.

Would never happen, unfortunately. The pro leagues and NCAA have very little cooperation. And There is NO way the Saints, Player's Union, Bush's endorsers, or the NFL would want to suspend Reggie for a NCAA problem.

And you blame the children for being children? Well, I blame the vultures preying on those despite the fact and making use of them to get wealthy. I'm now not speaking approximately the tuition's however the booster's, sellers, and mooching loved ones individuals. So no, I do not consider it might be proper and that i additionally do not consider it might diminish whatever.

This would have to be the way to stop it, because nothing happens to the athletes at all. You would have to go after them and the agents.

Right now, only the schools get hurt.
