I have a question about menopause?
I am nearly 50, and have sure symptoms of menopause. I had a light period the last week of April and I am starting again this week. I have been very regular for my entire life, so I am wondering what comes next. Aren't the periods suppose to stop, not be closer together? should I worry? I just wish it were over!!!
Please only reply if you are going threw it or have an intelligent knowledge/answer for this question.
Thanks!!

Unfortunately they don't just stop. They can be all over the place for while.
My cycle shortened up to 21 days, which was most unpleasant. Then I started skipping periods. Eventually they were about nine months apart. THEN I stopped.
There's no way to give you a time frame to get through the whole process. It's different for everyone. It can take years.

Everyones menopause is different, which sucks for your sake, in trying to predict what will come next. The frequent unpredictable periods are a common issue though. It may carry on for a couple of years, or a couple of months. They may, after that, slow down for a while, or just suddenly stop. It would be interesting to see how many hysterectomies are a result of that very symptom, as opposed to more legitimate issues. They may be even quite heavy at times. Too heavy would be soaking a pad every hour.

When the menopause show up, just your body start to make
some changes. First your behavior, your body temperature,
and your period doesn't means that stop there. Sometimes
you experiment light leaks but still there. Now, depend of
your order to eat and drink , your menopause cycle is better.
