Has anyone worked for ISeekQuote.com?

I'm researching this company that has offered me a job thru email. They are located in Burnsville, MN and for those of you who think that Kory Krause doesn't exist there, he does. In fact, he lives at the 12300 Michelle Circle address with Jamie Svac who I'm assuming may be his wife/gf. There is a business phone and another number for their home. I have called neither, I just want other opinions. His ad for employment was on Craigslist.com. He has offered a reasonable salary. If you have any pertinent details, I'd really like to here them.

Update:

So far, they've had me publish an article on auto insurance and they've had me apply for new auto insurance coverage giving them details of the quotes received.

Update 2:

So it seems that what they ask you to do during the "Probationary Period" is basically research for them. In two weeks, you can do a lot for them and they have no obligation to pay because they haven't sent you any paperwork. I'd be interested to hear from someone who has actually went through their processing.

I also received a response to the Craig's list add from the Iseekquote.com.

When they asked me to respond with other positions I have applied for and anticipating answers I got real skeptical. So I checked the business name with the Better Business Bureau, and they do not have any information before April 2008.

As soon as I finish this response to you, I am going to check the owner name for previous info.

This just doesn't sound on the up and up to me.

I just received an e-mail from Kory Krause. I live in the Milwaukee metro area. From the other post by "Lana S," they must be a new company. Even if they are on the "up and up" you may want to ask them about how they plan to succeed in the competitive insurance market. In other words, it's possible that you'll take a position there and then a year later the company will go out of business because they don't have a viable business plan.

Personally, I am not going to follow-up on their offer for an interview.

I am in the process of looking at iseekquote too. I know the craigslist offering sounded good...almost too good. I don't know anything about this company but it seems to be an up and coming competitor in the insurance field. Reminds me of SelectQuote. If you are okay with selling insurance, it might be okay for you.

Good luck, I think I'll pass on it.

  • nope sounds interesting though
