Drum brakes can be hard for alot of people. You really need a brake spring tool. I have done it past with plairs, and a screwdriver, but the spring tool makes it easier.

You remove wheel, remove drum.. Now you will see all the springs.. They all have to come off. Take a few digital pics so you will know how the springs went.

If you have rear disc breaks, that is easy.. Take wheel off, take caliper off, use a C clamp and an old pad to compress the piston.. Put new pads in, put caliper back on.

  • your beast bet is to pick up a book and fallow the step by step process. on drum brakes, it can be a little complex, but disc brakes are simple.

if you have drum brakes you should just take it in, but if there disc brakes and your good with your hands just unbolt and repalce but, dont undo the brake line, if you do you will have to bleed them.
