Is drinking too much milk bad?
My mom is always telling me that it's bad to drink a lot of milk in one day. I drink around a gallon of that 2% kind because I'm like addicated to it. I can go a year without even tasting a soda but can't go a day without milk. I start thinking of a calf when I drink it. A baby calf drinks lots and lots of milk from its mom and gets really big and fat. Can drinking an excess of milk make you fat, too?

The milk you are drinking is probably pasteurized and homogenized and being 2%, you need to re-think what you are doing to your body. Pasteurizing is done to milk because the cows are not healthy. They eat grain and that is contrary to what they were designed to do. The grains are raised with chemical fertilizers and sprayed heavily for bugs that are eating the grain because it is unhealthy. That is why they feed them lots of antibiotics to keep them from getting sick with disease.
2% milk is reduced fat. That milk is blue when they take the butterfat out, so they have to put white coloring in it to make it look good. They also have to put powdered milk in it to fix the way it tastes on your tongue. Then they pasteurize it, leaving up to 200,000 dead bacteria bodies per ml. in the milk and there is still about 2% living bacteria that causes Crohne's disease. The homogenization process crushes all the butterfat cells and leaves "chards" of foreign protein matter in the milk that your body has to eliminate those toxins. Many people develop allergies to that garbage when the chards of amino acids elicit a homocystein response in the body. When they milk the cows on those machines, the bacteria spread. The reason low fat milk is pushed by the dairy people is because it is cheaper to make and brings them more profit. It's not about your health.
When you drink make believe milk, you will get make believe health.
The way most of the world drinks milk and dairy products is raw. Raw milk has less bacteria in it and none of them are pathogens. Organic Pastures in Fresno California have NEVER EVER had one pathogen in their milk the whole time they have been selling it and that is over many years. ALL their cows are fed grass and free to roam in the fields. This produces healthy cows that do not need antibiotics and the milk is healthy. The butterfat (cream) is good for you because it is not pasteurized, it has ALL the digestive enzymes and good bacteria that helps you digest the milk. You can go to their web site and look at the FAQ's to see what they have to say about it.

Raw, whole milk is actually good for you. Many people that have what they believe to be lactose intolerance can drink the raw milk with no problems.
If you drink the raw, whole milk, it is very good for you. The pasteurized, homogenized milk are terrible for you. Baby calves would never drink the pasteurized version, they drink the raw milk from the mother with all the butterfat that nourishes their bodies.
good luck

Milk is extremely good for you. People who drink milk also tend to be leaner. There are really no cons but a lot of pros. So keep it up.

Drinking an excess of milk will make you gain weight. Milk has calories too, and it also has protein. You don't need a gallon of milk everyday, I would suggest maybe two or three glasses, one for every meal.
Skim milk is also a good alternative, but like I said, you don't need a gallon of milk everyday.

I used to drink only milk with every meal when i was younger but i also worked out as i got older and i was never fat. I also had really big breasts some say it was from drinking all the milk...lol. You should drink water too because your body needs it.

That does sound like a lot of milk in one day. It's certainly not the WORST thing you could drink. It can make you gain weight, if you drink that much. If you're worried about fat, you might think about trying skim milk.

Wow, That's a lot of milk! Most cultures don't even consume milk as adults. I would seriously try to cut back if I were you, but then again if you feel fine I guess it's okay.

Cow's milk is good if your a baby cow. Milk is full of antibodies, herbecides and pestisides. Why would you want to drink it? It's not healthy, especially now that the cows are getting milk producing hormones.

As good as milk is for you, you can drown in 3 inches of it. My Father told me "Everything in Moderation."
