Why does WWE always try to make examples out of new wrestlers?

For example Colin Delaney......why are they making him job so much and make him work so hard for his contract?....there has been others before him....so don't just answer it about Colin just new comers in general that they have made into jobbers before they actually got a chance to prove they could really wrestle?

They have to earn their stripes.

New wrestlers are usually brought in and have tryout matches. Then they might job a few times because that's the way WWE does business.

However you should know the realy story of Colin Delaney. He wasn't even supposed to have a match for WWE. So when they were in his home town, the intended jobber no-showed and WWE got a replacement. However the replacement looked to big to be a jobber so instead he referred them to his friend who was a wrestler. Since Delaney was the only guy they had they stuck with him. For weeks Delaney had actually been working without a contract so the storyline was part true. That might explain why he lost so much besides the fact that his body type is that of a skinny, young, jobber. And the losing thing was a gimmick anyway. But he earned his contract a few weeks ago so wrestlers dont usually have to defeat their boss's in order to gain contracts. At least I hope not.

It's all part of a storyline as Colin Delaney already has signed a WWE contract back in December when he left the NWA Upstate promotion.Joey Abs of the Mean Street Posse went through a period of jobbing to nearly everybody on the Raw roster back in 1999.It's all about paying your dues, earning your stripes and getting the necesary experience to develop.Even HHH had to job to the established stars. He lasted just over one minute against Ultimate Warrior at WM XII.

Wow, I can't believe you actually thought that Colin Delaney was actually wrestling for a contract.

Have you heard of thing thing called storylines??

It's this nifty little concept that wrestling promotions have been using for over 50 years.

Nobody gets to be in the WWE just to prove they have the skills to be in the ring. If they're in the spotlight 99% of the time is because they have something that the WWE is looking for. The stage to prove yoursef is called OVW and the indy feds.

Colin already had his contract BEFORE he got into the ring ... otherwise he would NOT have been permited to wrestle ....

His fighting for a contract was just part of the storyline .....

All newbie wrestlers have to job as it is called "Paying their dues" ...... and they expect to do it , for the most part .

Now; IF they have exceptional abilities ... then they don't job as much ....

The greatest wrestler of all time, Kenta Kobashi, had a losing streak of 60 losses when he started out.

Then again, Vince McMahon is no Giant Baba.

Anyway, you can't push someone to the moon when they start out, or you get Cena or Lesnar. And look at Delaney. Does he look like WWE Champion material to you? Not saying I view him negatively because of his physique, but WWE does.

They do it to get the fans on the side of the little guy, they can't just bring in someone and claim he's a great wrestler and you should like him ( like MVP)

Fans like to watch wrestlers earn thier way the hard way! some great examples are John Cena ( he started as a jobber wearing blue spandex) and Batista he started as a jobber then was picked up by evolution, and earned his way to a title shot.

for a start delaney signed a 3 year contract months ago.EVERYTHING you see on screen is a storyline written by very well paid scriptwriters and all storylines are approved by vince mcmahon....that's how wwe works.

All new wrestlers have to earn their spot and the respect of other wrestlers...it is called "paying your dues"!!!!!!!!

Because it also helps the new wrestlers. Would you like to see a new superstar pin HHH? it would make Triple H look bad.
