What is your favourite domestic bird species? Why?
Mine are budgies (parakeets) and White Ringneck Doves.
Because i have bred thousands, but still have dozens of tame avairy brede birds that will eat out of my hands, land on my back/ shoulders when ever i enter their avairy. Have kept / bred dozens of other species, but these are the friendliest/ tamest.

I love my Grey. a few years ago, i watched a friends grey from when he was 10months to 5 yrs while my friend went to Iraq. She was shot and didnt make it, so her family came and took Nemo and sold him to the first person who came along. After having a grey for so long I wanted one of my own. I had suffered through the teenage years with nemo, but it all turned out great after a few months. He was my constant compainion, going everywhere he was allowed with me. thanks to my constant handling, and seeing different sights and sounds, this was the rare grey who loved everyone and could be handled by strangers. a year had pased since my dear Nemo was taken and I went to a bird fair and auction to just look around there was a raffle for a handfed baby congo grey. we put in $50, and didnt really expect to win. but we did! For a month now, Ive had Isis. she is the love of my avian life. Just like Nemo, Isis goes everywhere and does everything with me. she didnt even need to be towled to be microchiped a few weeks ago! she is only 19 weeks today, but i expect to spend a lifetime with her. she now knows the word "GOFORARIDE????" whenever i pull out her travel carrier. she gets so excited when we got and see different things and people. I wouldnt trade her for the world

Parrots and other domestic birds. They are extremely intelligent and compassionate as friends. My personal favorite is the blue and gold macaw. I own one named Popcorn and he is my best friend! Having one is like having a three-year-old in the house. Never dull. :)

I like all birds, except bantam cockerels.
We have a stray one that has been crowing solidly for five days now, and it seems to think dawn is about 3.00am. I'm beginning to see how it got 'lost' in the first place.
