Why haven't the Super Delegats put Obama over the top yet?

If the Democratic party is so sure that Obama is the right choice to go against McCain, then why haven't the remainder of the super delegates pledge their support to Obama and put him over the 2026 to end the Primaries? Also if Florida and Michigan are seated then they will have to get him to 2210. It makes me wonder if he is the right choice.

I think first off, they do not really want Obama but do not want to risk being labeled racist by not voting for him. Second, since the superdelegates are free to change their minds all the way up to the convention (thus placing all 795 in play) they are still deciding if they want to risk a revolt by backing the more electable candidate or go along to get along. Finally, I think many are waiting to find out the conclusion of the MI and FL debacle, which should happen May 30.

Because they don't want to flood to him and hurt senator Clinton feelings. It would be bad for the party if they all just came out at once and unprofessional. That's why you will just see a trickle.

The election is still on the closer side. Give them two more weeks.
