Which way would you install 6' Privacy fence Good side in or out?

6 FT privacy wood fence - one side is smooth the other side has the support brackets - would you install it so the smooth side is facing in towards the yard or outside towards the neighbors? I'd prefer to install it smooth side facing out so I can hang birdfeeders and small decorations on the support brackets facing the inside of the yard. Which way would you install it and why? Thanks !

I'd build it with the smooth side out, if for nothing else but security reasons. It's easier to scale a fence if you have the support brackets to use as foot holds, and much harder if they aren't there.

I would call fence installers in your area to get a price per foot complete I paid $2000 10 years ago for only 100 feet or so and I don't think $1000 will do it . My fence is treated and has never shown any wear and i never painted or coated it with anything and you don't have to replace a whole panel ,just a board if needed, It may cost more if there are brush or trees to remove also make sure where the property line is and make sure they set the posts deep enough, my installers cemented the post too

Good side out. Whether it's local codes or a security feature, it's also courteous to your neighbor not to make them look at the "work" side of the fence. It also does make it easier to hang things like potted plants and birdfeeders, and also helps with climbing plants.

In the event that you need to discover pleasant thoughts for woodworking i can propose you to check a website ( ( woodworkingplans.kyma.info ) ) It's perfect in the event that you are simply starting out or in case you're a prepared carpenter. It has thousands and thousands of woodworking arrangements and you have a CAD/DWG software to view and alter the arrangements. You have regulated instructions with photographs and excellent blueprints and schematics. On the off chance that you are a beginner this is the simplest approach to start your woodworking projects, and on the off chance that you already have experience you can at any rate discover a ton of interesting thoughts!

There aren't any laws in regard to this, but the convention everywhere is that you give your neighbor the smooth side. If you do it the other way it's going to look odd because no one else does it like that.

Good side out. It wouldn't be long before all my planting obscure the inside of the fence anyway....

Best way is good side out. Many local codes require this so the neighbor is not forced to look at the bad side.
