Do you get upset when your answer is not chosen as "Best Answer"...?

I just think if someone asks what you think is a legitimate questions and you take the time to provide a well written answer..... and the asker picks the answer that says, "I don't know dude, but you ROCK!"

Yeah, it ticks you off a little bit because you should have had to 10 points.

It doesn't hurt my pride though.

Pride if it's an honest well thought out answer. Especially if I see that the asker choose some stupid off the wall remark as best answer. If the answer chosen as best answer is truely a good answer then I try to learn from it.

I do my best to answer the questions with good advice.

No just look at it this way, let the better answer win. As long as we answered to the best of our knowledge then we know we did the best we could. This is not a game.

Yeah, I guess I get a bit tee'd off when I see they chose a really dumb answer that makes no sense, and there you have my answer, a perfectly thought out answer, and maybe I even came back a few times and added for info.

when i answer, i answer to the best of my ability with first-hand knowledge and experience. i never try 2 get best answer, in fact in many cases if u scroll thru my answers i specify not to give me best answer.

i could care less about 10 points...i care more about helping people.

keep your 10pts also. i always have my pride.

some of them i really try. it depends on the question. there are some that are crying out for real help. on those, yeah, i guess. on the ones where, okay, im not so nice, maybe sarcastic, nah. and its never about the points.
