in the 3rd season boston legal episode 'nuts', denny crane is listed as a 'no fly' for security reasons and alan shore takes on homeland security to get them to reinstate denny's ability to fly commercially again...

does anyone have the episode on dvd that can type word for word alan shore's closing statement in which he mentions the 'steve's' and the 'ipod'?...it starts with alan saying almost questionably "did you know the ipod...." or something along those lines.

i only have a slow dial-up so attempting to download the episode would take from now 'till st.swibbins day with all the disconnects.

i have a 1994 Blazer with the 4.3 vortec and i'm assuming 4L60E since the trans has no tv cable.

anyway i changed out the fuel injection for carburetion. the 'puter is still hooked up. now the trans won't engage until around 1,200 rpm and when it engages it does so faster in 1st than in drive, the transfer case shifter which is a switch on the dash doesn't light up or engage at all...reverse however works fine.

i contacted tci yesterday and they are telling me i need $1,100 worth of electronics to make this work, including their programmable computer, harness and throttle position sensor.

now, spending another $1,100 on a vehicle thats barely worth $1,100 anyway seems harsh, has anyone else done this type of swap and can give me a cheaper idea...

i was wondering about changing the trans to a 700R4 which is not elec, but then i ask will i need to change the transfer case also to get it to work since its also elec?

any realistic thoughts would be great.

i have a 1994 S-10 blazer with the "w" code, cpi vortec engine, this is the 'spyder injection' engine. has anyone successfully changed this intake to a carbureted intake and has it worked? did u purchase an intake from edelbrock who is the only one who sells a direct replacement intake for this vortec, or did u use an early version intake and use spacers to install it on the vortec? if so, where did u get the spacers and what distributor, intake and carb did u use and did u need to make any other modifications to make it work?

please, only answer if u have done this job with success before.

... that farrah faucett and ed mc mahon also died this week and to their professional credit they were both without questionable morals ithroughout their lifetime....yet i see almost nothing on them and way too much on jackson, not only in the mainstream media but on almost every catagory of yahoo answers as well...even yahoo answers itself has chosen to highlight the jackson legacy by asking a corporate question of their own and nothing on faucett or mc mahon...i guess even they have forgotten.

all of these people were entertainers in their own right and should all be remembered together instead of one being weeded out as the "best" and given preferential treatment.

what auto trans will work behind a northstar motor to make it a rwd...in other words to retrofit it into something with rwd instead of fwd?

what automatic trans is behind the 7.3 turbo diesel in a '91 F-250 pickup 2wd...is it an aod, a c-6 or something different?

what kind of wiring nightmare am i looking at if i put a 7.3 diesel non-turbo engine and auto trans into a motorhome where a gas motor was, specifically a non-ford gas motor...this is an older 7.3 that probably isn't as managed by a computer as the newer ones are.

has anyone retro-fitted a diesel into a gas frame that can answer my questions?

for the past 2 months or so i've had pain in my left shoulder up thru the neck and down to the arm. it hurts to just pick up an empty cup with my left hand or turn my head left let alone anything else. advil, motrin, excedrin back and body, nothing works. it does feel a bit better when the hot water from the shower is running over it. i've even tried putting icy hot on it, no difference.

now, for the past 2 weeks i've been selling plazma 2X a week. once last week and once last night, both at least 10hrs after i gave plazma the same day, both my lower legs, thighs, etc cramped so bad i could hardly walk...woke me from a good sleep. it was like they were trying to "lock up". u wanna discuss pain. took at least 20 minutes to feel better...BUT during that time i did notice one thing...no left side shoulder/neck/arm/hand pain..i know this because i was gripping the bathroom counter so hard with both hands just to stay upright, tossing my head and neck back and forth writhing in pain from the cramping, and no pain there at all.

now i know when u lose fluids quickly like having the plazma pumped out that sometimes cramping can occur because of the loss of saline, even tho they are pumping a small amount of saline back into me after removing the plazma.

i've thought about a charlie horse for the leg cramping, i've also thought about tennis elbow or tendonitus for the left side pain...i've even thought of a small stroke that just affected the left side but there's no facial problems, etc...just a continious twisting pulling pain from the neck thru to the hand...any other thoughts?

a sample of the plazma is checked each time and they are having no problems with that at all.

i'm 47, never did drugs, don't drink or smoke and do physical labor 10hrs a day at work.

right side no problems at all.

i have a crazy chihuahua question that i hope someone can help me with. now before i start, please understand the dogs are both well fed with iams small bites.

i have 2 chihuahua's, a brother and sister from the same litter and the same birth. age approximately 3 1/2 yrs old.

i live in an office inside a warehouse. when i let the dogs outside to run or do their business and open the warehouse shop door, they both go in and "eat" or at least take a few swipes with their mouthes at the floor dry i have on the floor. i have it on the floor of the shop for when the humidity comes out so it doesn't get all wet in there. there's no antifreeze or anything like that on the floor at all. nothing sweet.

now i know in the summer dogs and cats eat grass for digestion or whatever, but has anyone ever heard of or know why they would eat floor dry?

hi! a few dodge questions for someone who has done this or has knowledge of both:

will '77 model 440 heads fit and work on a 70's model 383 block...

will the 440 heads increase or decrease compression...

if increase, any guess how much...

will pushrod length change...

will i need special head gaskets or will the 383/440 gaskets work...

if they will fit, do i use a 383 or 440 intake...

my 440 bottom is bad, i had the heads redone before i knew about the bottom end. i found someone who has had the bottom end of a 383 rebuilt for sale for $400 and was gonna buy that, put these heads on that block and the assembly would go in a class A motorhome, this is why i'm asking.

i am amiss and need some input:

i was talking with someone a few weeks ago who has been separated from their spouse for 8yrs, not living together at all during that time. also during that time, both have lived in what they call "common law marriages" for years with other people and one has became a parent with their "common law" partner.

now, i may be "old school", but this sounds like a skate around the polygamy law and when i told this person that a judge would most likely toss them all in jail if they were all found out as no matter how a person slices it, its adultry pure and simple, i was called a "religious fanatic"...

what does religion have to do with breaking the law...

what do marriage vows mean today...

does anyone else think this is not only illegal but just plain wrong...

now granted, i know its not real, and i haven't had cable for 2 yrs so i don't get to watch wwe raw on mon nights, but the last shows i saw, randy orton had kicked dusty rhodes in the head and hurt him badly and did it to "teach" cody rhodes a lesson.

now that smackdown has been put on non-cable tv, i saw a blurb on their last fri night where it showed the previous weeks raw where randy orton has now evidentally teamed up with cody rhodes and someone else and are beating up on batista and cena and orton kicked batista in the head...

what happened that cody rhodes would even want to be anywhere near a person who badly hurt his dad, let alone team with him to help him hurt others...real or not anyone who has gotten even accidentally kicked in the head knows it hurts, and an accidental wrong stem can cause the kick to effectively "bounce" the brain around as in a concussion which can and has been deadly in rear end car crashes....

makes no sense to me.

yesterday i went to the laundrymat to wash my clothes. a woman walked in with her son of i'd guess 10. he was kicking a soccer ball inside at the doors, walls, etc. she told him 10 times to quit and all he did was talk back. he walked up to me and casually said "i do that to her all the time, she hates it"...while still calmly reading the newspaper and not making eye contact, i quietly replied "i would not have been able to do that to my mom, u wanna know y" to which he promptly replied "y", i answered "because after she asked me just once she would have beaten my butt and i wouldn't do it again. he went and gave the ball to his mom. about 10min later he asked her 5 times for money, she gave it to him and he went 2 the convience store and bought a plastic gun that shoots little plastic balls about the size of a pea and started shooting her. again she told him to stop way too many times, which he ignored and just reloaded to shoot not only her but others (not me) and then said to me that he has "adhd". he walked by me and i told him it wasn't nice to shoot at people anywhere let alone in their face and he quietly stopped shooting at people.

my question is this, is it all adhd or just a lack of child rearing in some if not many kids...i didn't yell/scream/holler, i just told him the way it is, in a calm but stricter ADULT voice and he stopped his abusive, non-respectful ways.

i'm 47yrs old and yes my parents put the fear of GOD in me as a child and i can guarantee i never disrespected their authority or talked back or treated them like animals like i see tens of thousands of kids doing to their parents daily. i didn't take a gun to school and shoot classmates or teachers, i didn't disrespect teachers or police or other parents/other kids. did dicipline hurt me, on the contrary it made me who i am today.

parents today refuse to dicipline and look whats happening, my parents diciplined and i treat their kids better than their kids treat them...perhaps, just perhaps a change back to the way it was is whats needed as the "hands off" approach as suggested years ago by too many psychiatrists and psychologists trying to make a name for themselves has suddenly gained us the terms "add" and "adhd" for any child, weather their diagnosed with it or weather they are allowed by their non-restrictive parents to just find the end of their parents rope and start pulling it tighter and see how far it gets them before the parents break.

any thoughts?

after reading many questions from people in the family/relationships section and polls and surveys, i am wondering how have we bettered ourselves as a society from my generation (born in early 60's) to todays generation (born in 80's/90's)...here's y i ask as these r just a few questions i've seen posted lately:

"is it ok to let my 13yr old daughter date a mature 15yr old"

"i'm married, and so is my FWB but his wife found out and now we need to stop seeing each other, is that fair"

"y shouldn't 10yr olds be taught sex education in school"

i let my 12yr old daughter stay out until 2am on the weekends with her friends and people say i'm wrong to do so, what do you think"

"why is it so wrong for me to want to have sex at 10" (this one from a girl)

"why should me and my bf have to wait until we're 18 to get married, we're 13 and in love"

"is it ok to have an affair since my wife gained weight"

"why isn't it ok to have affairs, what does the bible have to do with it, i know what vows i spoke but they didn't mean anything, they're just words afterall"

"why is polygamy and gay sex not allowed"

"why should someone else dicipline my child since i don't want to"

lets look at my generation to todays:

in my generation we had a tv show called "the fugitive";

todays generation has a tv show called "america's most wanted".

in my generation schools were for higher learning and accessable by any parent at any time;

todays generation can't name me a school where bars and gates aren't included anywhere inside the schools...is that to keep kids in or drug dealers out...or shall we call school prison...what happens during an actual fire with these gates locked...how would kids get away thru locked gates inside a school if someone took a gun to school and started shooting...why is it again home-schooling is gaining so much popularity?

in my generation marijuana was the drug of choice and many of u still use it; (never tried drugs, saw what they did to my brother and his friends, that was enough education for me not to need artificial stimulants)

todays generation has crystal meth and no one will continue using it for long periods of time as it can/will/does kill in a heartbeat...but that doesn't stop people from making, selling and using it at home/work and worst off at our kindergarden/grade school/jr high school/high schools. what are todays generation of kids doing with their lunch money?

my generation had family values where the father worked and the mom stayed and took care of the children and today they are both enjoying their retirement and helping their kids out financially;

todays generation has "the center for missing and exploited children" and the children of those families are now turning to their parents for financial help at ages 45 and up...i know, thats where my last ex gf of that age and her sister whos older run to for money when they write checks their bank balances can't cover.

in my generation if i took a squirt gun to school i was expelled and when i got home my dad "explained" to me what i had done wrong;

todays generation has one too many Columbines.

in my generation banks made deals with handshakes to people willing to work hard for their families and finance their futures and everyone paid it back;

todays generation needed a 700B bailout and families are still losing their homes despite it.

in my generation it was not uncommon to go to 30yr retirement parties for people in the neighborhood as well as celebrate 30yr wedding anniversaries...my parents last one was their 47th before my dad passed away:

todays generation...well, no need 2 go any further on this one is there.

in my generation if a kid was doing something wrong or illegal and someone else saw it, that someone stopped the deed and if needed "diciplined" the child who then went home and was again "diciplined" by their parents for doing the deed and humiliating the family;

todays generation ends up on "judge alex" or "judge judy" or any number of other shows up to and including "jerry springer"...

please understand that dicipline never killed anyone, its those diciplined children of yesterday who are now financially funding their children whom they weren't allowed 2 dicipline but who treated their parents with disrespect when they were growing up today.

in my generation when a person wanted a divorce, they had to go to their church and present their reasons before one was granted (happened many times when i was growing up and not all were granted for foolish things like: can't cook, won't have sex, wears too much cologne/makeup, won't shower, and my most favorite of all...doesn't make enough money);

todays generation has $99 do it yourself divorces and the methodist church actually has a divorce ceremony where its like ur wedding; u infite friends/family/co-workers and divorce in front of them...actually wondered if the bride-to no-longer-be wears a black dress at this one...

i have a whirlpool side by side refrigerator/freezer, dated 10-03, model# ED0GTQXMQ00.

it sits in my shop which right now the temp in there is about 30*.

my problem is the freezer isn't keeping ice cream cold. the ice cream is slightly melting and soft. now i have 2 bags of ice in there and they seem to be staying frozen. yesterday afternoon i turned the freezer cooler switch from "b" to "c" to get it colder and i did hear it "kick in", but 24hrs later and 10* cooler temps in the shop have resulted in softer ice cream. the ice cream was fresh yesterday and was completely frozen hard when i brought it home. tonight its soft.

question: is the outside ambient air temp in the shop affecting the freezers ability to cool or is something else wrong here?

on the refrigerator side i am experiencing no problems at all.

the coils underneath and in back are clean of lint or dirt.

any thoughts before i call sears to come look at it?

this question is for the women who have cheated on their bf or spouse for no other reason than financial gain...

after living with a man who gave you everything you asked for, never asked you to pay for or do anything out of the ordinary or against your will, never cheated on you, supported you and your child from another marriage financially, making and keeping you happy (at least thats what they thought because thats what you told them and you claimed throughout the relationship that you never lied) ; i have a few questions:

1) even tho ur spouse/bf partially figured out what u were doing (leaving soon, not suspecting cheating yet) and told you so, why would you lie and say no and continue to stay with him and sleep in the same bed while continuing to cheat...

2) why would you continue to stay claiming to yourself and your friends that u don't have enough money to leave instead of asking the person ur cheating with for help outside of bed...

3) why would you after a few months say you can't do this anymore and tell your bf/spouse that ur leaving but that its not his fault or anything he did, its all you and what you want...what is it you can't do anymore, stay with one while cheating with the other and live with yourself... and why is it your bf's/spouses fault u can't do it anymore...

4) is it because its hard living two unrealistic lives when you know ur hurting someone else...and if it is, was it all worth it in the end...

5) when the person u cheated with dumps you, why did you try returning to ur now ex-bf/spouse claiming it was all their fault u did what u did dispite what u said when you walked out the door to go to the cheat that it wasn't anything the bf/spouse did, it was all you and what u wanted and needed to do...

see ladies, we men have a sense when somethings wrong at home also, and we can see the signs that the spouse/gf is about to walk...new checking acct in ur own name, locking ur car door when u come home after never locking it during the whole relationship, never coming home anymore for dinner claiming 2 be eating big lunches ur boss bought u, walking into other rooms when ur cell rings and deleting e-mails quickly, trying to get the mail before your bf/spouse does, looking at classifieds at apartments, etc; so why try to cover it up...

curiosity kills the cat...

why did i post this question: perchance seeing these questions in print and trying to answer some of them may help someone out there to rethink what they are doing or are about to do.

has this happened...i'm sure it has for many men and women.
