The government can just erase campaign debt?

That comes as no surprise. Clinton has vendors to pay as well. Hard-working Americans all over the campaign trail who provided venues, catering, etc.

In perhaps the most famous case of outstanding campaign debt, former Ohio Sen. John Glenn remained nearly $3 million in the hole for more than 20 years after a failed bid for the presidency in 1984. (The Federal Election Commission granted him a reprieve two years ago.)

Update:

Sorry- I like to provide the thought process behind the question. It is a real question- not a rant.

I can't get a perfect answer about the possible scenarios for Clinton's campaign debt.
