Is smoking allowed at the Bush airport in Houston?

I have a 1hr. 20 min lay over in Houston and am wondering if smoking is allowed (perhaps outside the terminal)? If I go outside for a smoke, will I have enough time to go back through security and make my flight? I haven't flown in 24 yrs. back then you could smoke right on the plane. How times have changed.

You will have to smoke outside the terminal. 1hr 20 min. should be enough time to sneak out for a cig.

Last month, I had a 1 hr lay over and was able to sneak out to chain smoke 2 cigs and still make it to my gate with time to spare. It was definitely worth the trip outside.

    Yea, time to quit, maybe.

Most airports have a room in the terminal where you can go smoke. These are filled with other smokers madly puffing away, so the smoke is quite dense.

I'm sure whoever will be seated next to you on your second flight will be happy.
