What is your favorite Florida beach?

We have been going to Siesta Key, but would like to know about experiences at other beaches.

My favorite is right in my hometown. It's called Sebastian Inlet.

It is located on the east coast 1/2 way down. Just south of Melbourne north of West Palm Beach and east of Orlando.

    This is the web site.

So many things for families to enjoy. First ,the fishing is wonderful. It has a very long pier that runs out into the ocean.

People from all over come to surf on the beaches here. If that is too rough on the other side is calm water to also enjoy.

What also makes this area perfect is you are close to many areas for day trips. within an hour you can be in Orlando, Kennedy Space Center or Daytona Beach. Going south you can get to West Palm Beach.

Yes I know it's my hometown area so I would pick it. But to me there's no place like home when it looks like this.

Siesta Key is beautiful. Other beaches along the Gulf Coast that I like are Indian Rocks Beach and Ft. Myers Beach. In the panhandle I like Destin. On the east coast I like Daytona and Cocoa Beaches.

North Miami beach is nice, it's always got stuff going on, but it's not as crazy as South Miami beach. The Gulf is nice..... but the water is a little crazy, it's kind of dirty looking and there are always washed up jellyfish and shells all over that beach and that part of the beach was actually not swimable last year.

Jacksonville beach area is pretty nice, there is also a part of Jacksonville beach called Ponte Vedra, which is a little bit more secluded, but you are only three miles or so from Jacksonville beach, which is nice because you can stay where there are less people but when you want more action it's not too far away!

I hear that Clearwater is really nice, but I've never been there. Amelia Island is beautiful and there is a lot of stuff to do there also. I've only been there a few times and never got to extend my stay past a day or so. But it is very nice there!

Panama City Beach, as it's known is the new Spring Break Capital. And they know how to pick 'em. We found over 26 miles of unbroken great white sand that extends from St. Andrews State Park to Phillips Inlet.

The water changes colors throughout the day - emerald to azure to coral. And we found the sand nearly 99% quartz sand - a striking contrast to the sea. But in a strange twist, the city has not done well to provide great beach access.

Fort DeSoto, outside of St. Petersburg. It is on an island between the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay. It's great because it's not developed yet easy to get and still has some basic amenities. Its North Beach was rated the best beach in the US a few years back.

The Gulf Coast in Navarre. No one knows about it and not may people go there. It is between Destin and Pensacola. The sand is like sugar, doesn't stick to your feet, is cool and the water is Emerald green. Nothing like it in the U.S. and is better than the Bahamas. You'll see dolphins jumping and you can walk out hundreds of feet before you get your head wet.

Also, try the Destin beach at the restaurant "Back Porch". You can come in with your wet shorts off the beach and they have a menu to die for.

My sought after sea coast? Atlantic sea coast in Jacksonville, Florida! The waves are rockin', they're under no circumstances crowded (even contained in the technique the summer season!), and its really trouble-free to stroll accurate off the sea coast and right into a bar... How may i recognize? My total relatives (all 12 tremendous-grandparents and their children) has a sea coast homestead that you'll actually bounce the fence (or basically walk out the gate haha) and your on Atlantic sea coast! i bypass there each and every summer season. <3 i like it!

St, Augustine because it is a very large beach and the sand is hard enough to ride bike for miles. It is soooooooooo much fun!
