I have NEVER had the sun on the north side of my house (40 years) but now it comes in the windows. Why now?
The closest the sun has ever been to the north side of my house is 8 feet, the rest shade. Been here for 40 years. I'm in N.E. Oklahoma but this year May 2008 the sun is comming into the windows on the north wall, This change accually has me worried. Whats going on? What changed? Is this a bad thing?
The sun has always stayed atleast 8 feet away from the north side of the house but now the entire north side of the house is covered with sunlight. I've lived here 40 years. NO trees or houses have been moved!

Global warming is effecting the way the earth rotates about the sun and about its own axis. You have probably experienced what's known as "climate shift."

Assuming you mean that you have been in the same house for 40 years and haven't added windows on the north side or removed any of the structure of the house, then some trees or houses have been removed to the northeast or northwest of your house. The earth and the sun have not changed their relationship.

Has a nearby tree fallen or died? Sunrise progresses northward until the summer solstice, then starts traversing southward. It should rise approximately due east on the vernal equinox.

Either somebody snuck up and rotated your house, or somebody cut down a large tree nearby! I am going with the latter!

glad you said that. I've been noticing the moon keeps coming up in the wrong spot. thought I was just going nuts. only thing it could be is the Earth is somehow turning. not sure what is going on but it can;t be good.

I live in southeastern Oklahoma, but when I lived up in central Oklahoma, I notice if I was driving south the sun would be in my eyes. I can't remember what time of day, but it wasn't supposed to be there!!

the reason for this could be a distante object that has been removed that was blocking the sun. this is the only logical thing i can think of hope i helped

I'd go outside and look for a tree stump or two, if I were you.
