for serious competitors, this shoe isnt really a basketball shoe. they don't have enough ankle support and they are very very very easy to roll, twist or sprain your ankle in because the shox columns are so high. If you aren't playing way hard, I'm sure you could wear them just like you could wear any shoe really to play lightly in. They are really made for running if not just for looks! go for a bball specific shoe. Nike makes plenty of shox for basketball. Here are a few...
