It depends what connectivity method is used by the camera. It may be connect via Infrared system, Blue tooth system etc.

So, those system is the basic requirement for your computer. You should have manual of that camera. It will give you details about computer configurations requirement.

Otherwise you have to search in net.

    It depends...

Keep in mind that a "wireless" camera still needs power.

In the case of the bluetooth camcorder or camera, they can use a battery - but the batteries will not last for 8 hours. which means it needs to be plugged in just for power. Also keep in mind that Bluetooth was not designed for use over about 30 feet, generally, line of sight. It is a close-proximity protocol. If you go this route, your computer need to have a Bluetooth transceiver that you can pair the camera with. Most newer Macintoshes have this built-in. Some traditional higher-end Windows machines have built-in bluetooth. Adapters are available if your computer does not have this.

There are a couple of other options...

    A networked camera like

has its own IP address on your home network, so if you already use a wireless router, this camera is all you need. The camera requires power - the "wireless" is only the video signal connection.

    Or... http://shop1.frys.com/product/4745149;jsessionid=h...

The base station allows connection to a TV or a video capture card if your computer has one - if not, you could install one... The camera still needs power, so again, not totally wireless.

There are lots more options, but these are the common ones...

i think of the wording of your question could be throwing people off. you're best that maximum modern laptops that have integrated ethernet even have integrated instant means. they do no longer seem to be a similar ingredient, yet electronically they're usually on a similar chip. It costs the seller very almost no longer something to contain it. examine the specs on your sort and notice. look in the administration panel/gadget supervisor/community panel. in case you have a instant adapter it is going to look as a seperate gadget from the integrated under pressure adapter. in case you do in reality have instant, then you definately can establish an "advert-hoc" instant connection between that adapter and a instant gadget like a instant digicam. No instant router is mandatory in case you're no longer additionally connecting to the information superhighway. it incredibly is in uncomplicated terms an area connection between the units. the stairs variety based upon your working gadget yet you will locate instructions on the internet. in case you have Vista working example, Google "Vista advert-hoc instant". in case you haven't any longer have been given integrated instant, you ought to purchase a USB instant adapter very affordably. Plug it in and enable it configure, then proceed with the advert-hoc community purely like above. once you're at it, examine to work out in the experience that your laptop has "Blue the teeth". this is yet another instant technologies that should enable an area connection to a instant digicam.
