I believe it's prime. There are no factors of 6 that add/subtract, and multiply to get the answer of 6. (x+ ?)(x+?). Also 6 is not a perfect square like 9. (x+3)(x-3) would = x^2-6.

x^2 + 6 is prime and cannot be factored
