I hate illegal immigration just as anyone else but deporting all these loser wont solve anything it is not rational to think the gov will send millions of people out of the country at once giving these law breakers license is bad too but you have to choose your battles John McCain wants to continue this costly war and continue giving tax breaks to people who just dont need then. Obama certainly does not consider the big picture. He is a bit myopic. Every little move effects so many others. We really need leaders who are both detail-oriented AND can see all of the little strings each of those details tugs.

Since Mexico is one of our major oil suppliers, maybe he's hoping that some of the immigrants will bring oil with them.

Most of these drivers are driving anyway, therefore burning gas. This will just allow them to drive legally. Plus they're experts at car pooling, so that should help as well.
