Obama fellowship Interviews?

I got an email asking me to set up an interview, and then I followed the link, and set up my time. I am actually waiting now! They are calling from from 3 (23 mins ago) till 12!!

Also, someone signed up for an interview and never got called... they must be busy.

I applied end of April, and got my email this weekend. I am guessing they end out one big email!

I applied on May 13th and got an e-mail asking for an interview, so I don't think it's first come, first serve. They could just be looking at your community service and organizing experience. Like if you've done a lot of community outreach or have fund-raised before.

I'm waiting for my interview right now, but if I don't get it, I am still going to volunteer a lot. I can't wait to become more involved!

This summer we are looking for students and recent graduates who want to be a part of a new generation of leadership that believes, like Senator Obama, that real change comes from the ground up.

Fellows will be trained on the basics of organizing & campaign fundamentals and then placed in a community to carry out grassroots activities. Fellows will be asked to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week and will:

* participate in training on field organizing, messaging, and other activities

* organize in a community, working in conjunction with grassroots leaders and campaign staff

* continue to build the movement

My interview grew to become into final Wednesday. the guy advised me that she grew to become into recommending me for this device, and that that grew to become into the only step of the technique. She stated i might acquire notification on Fri or Sat. As of 10:30 PM Tuesday, I rather have not. i'm a splash frightened, yet some googling shows that a gaggle of people are in our comparable boat. I got a call on Friday and had an interview! It was really exciting! I should hear from them via email within 2 or 3 days to let me know if I got the position! YAY!

I was just wondering what the interview is like. I'm kinda stressing over it, and would like to know if its casual or if I have to wear a tie while I'm on the phone (joke). But seriously, I have basically been studying for this interview like I would for an exam. HELP!!!

My interview is on Thursday, and yes, I received an email in response to my application that requested I schedule a time to call.

Oh, and for you naysayers, I'm about as white as they come--from VT originally, and now living in D.C. I think they choose by age, your resume, your proximity to areas they want people to work, what your college degree is in, etc. The campaign is smart, so I highly doubt they are just randomly choosing people.

What the hell kind of fellowship can Obama be offering?

He doesn't do anything right now but campaign.

You get an e-mail, i don't think everyone get's an interview, they review ur app and give interviews based on that. The earlier u applied the sooner you'll hear
