linux install reversal?
Is there an easy way to reverse a Linux installation.
here's what happen
i was using a Fedora 9 live cd.
I made it install to HDD
it partitioned my disk in a way i didn't like(i didn't know till later)
whenever i boot the first flash screen is a fedora screen that says it will boot in X seconds. or to press any key for menu
in the menu i can select windows vista.
i don't want to have to do this every time i boot.
my computer is an acer lapto
AMD turion 64X2 @ 1.9 tl-58
2gbram
160 gb hdd (stock partitioned into two 70 gb)
now i have two partitions 70gb windows 10 gb files. and Linux partition is not showing up.

What exactly do u want the system to do?
1. If you want to boot windows by default without asking for the menu, then boot ur linux, configure bootloader (grub) to boot windows by default. In this way u need to chose by menu.
2. If you dont want this screen to appear at all..then this pretty complex as Boot loader is written in MBR. Dont delete linux partition by going through Device manager, coz then you'll not be able to use anything (unless u dont effect MBR)
Easiest way to handle this is to repair ur windows with repair option of installation cd.

Edit the file /etc/grub.conf
Look for the line that says default= It probably will say default=0.
Then look for the the line titled Vista or other. Count from the top which position it is. The very first "title" is 0, next is 1, the third one is 2 and so on. Replace default with the number that vista is on.
