What to do with ashes?
I read an interesting article lately about what people wanted to do with their ashes after they died. One person wanted to have them mixed with paint so an artist could create a beautiful painting for his family. Another man wanted his wife to carry them in the trunk of her car so that if she got stuck on ice she could sprinkle them under the wheels to get going again. He felt that this would let him help her out one last time even after he was gone. If you had your way, what would you want done with your ashes?

I have been thinking about this, since I really do need to figure this out. If I could have my wishes, I would want my ashes sprinkled in the beautiful perenniel garden that I spent so much time on in the years past. Only one problem, the garden is at my ex husband's home. He probably wouldn't mind though. We parted as friends. If that didn't work out, there is a lake where I use to fish in I would like to have my ashes spread over.

I have told my family I want to be tossed in the wind at Fort Clinch in Fernandina Beach, Florida. That way some of me will be on the beach, in the ocean and in the woods. A beautiful place filled with memories of picnics from my childhood and then my childrens.
The oldest three will probably go through my ashes and take a bit for each of them as they did with their Father. Not sure they but they might take a bit of the ash to the cemetary plot and place with their Dad. Since for my son it is important to have a place to go and celebrate and place flowers.

There is a new technology that allows people to have their ashes compressed into an artificial diamond to be worn on jewelry. I'd probably want to do that.
One of my friends had his dad's ashes put inside a cross necklace that he wears everywhere.

I would want my ashes placed beside the grave of my first born son. He died at birth and his tiny grave is in the family plot in Texas.

Dump them in the ocean. In fact, they could dump the whole body there after they're done harvesting whatever is still healthy. Feed the fish. (I'll be gone. The body is just a shell for the soul)

Plant them in the garden where they could help a plant grow. I really like the idea of being useful after we have gone.

Whom ever dies first my husband or me. We will keep the ashes and wait till the other one to die and then mix them together and then have our children pick a tree in Maui and leave us there to enjoy Paradise.

My father wanted to be cremated and to have my niece carry him around in her pocket, so he could always be with her...He loved her so! Un fortunately, my Mom buried Him...In my faith, I am sure he found a way, to still do what he wanted!
Edit:I want to donate all the organs I can to who ever can use them, then bury my ashes with my husband, as he wont agree to be cremated...
