I'm recently retired due to disabilty after 20 years as a mail carrier. I have a teaching degree although I never worked as a teacher. I'm twice divorced, with one grown daughter. I'm politically liberal and agnostic. I'm willing to talk about any subject as long as we can have a polite discussion.

My ex nearly killed me & was released after 5 weeks in jail. I know people who were in jail for having a little more than an ounce of pot & convicted for dealing.
When are we going to make violent crimes a priority? It shouldn't matter if it's your spouse, your child or your pet. Violent is violent.

I was listening to the radio this morning and a woman who was abandoned by her husband set up a place where people could write things on plates & then smash them.
I used to do this by splitting wood back when I had a fireplace. There's nothing like hitting a wedge into a piece of wood with a sledgehammer!
