Has anyone sold anything on E-Bay?

I'm moving soon & would like to sell some things there rather than a yard sale. Does anyone have experience with this?

I have bought and sold. I'm not really an ebay nut I just landed on a few good deals.

I picked up three of the old crock pot baking pans for 50 cents each at Goodwill. These used to be sold mail order in the seventies. I kept two and sold the others for $7 and $9.50 each. Customers paid the shipping. I've sold a few other items. I've always made a profit. I wouldn't fool with it as a business though.

I found an entire set of professional Tromantina stainless cookware for $45.00 with the shipping. The seller didn't realize that her description made those pans sound like they came from Walmart. The picture showed me otherwise. They retail new for about $350.00. I almost felt guilty buying them. The seller didn't know what she had. Saved myself a fortune. I love those pans.

As another poster said, it takes a little work to set up your account with Paypal and Ebay. I'm not sure that I'd use it instead of a yard sale but it's amazing what folks will buy. I once paid $10 for a bag of used sheets. There were 9 sheets in the bag. I didn't buy them to sleep on, I bought them to cover my plants on frosty nights. They work great.

If you have the time, study the selling prices of items you might want unload. This would give you a sense of whether or not it's worth trying.

I have and it's not too bad. Kind of fun unless you want to make it a full time job. When I get tired of my clothes, curtains, sheets, movies, music, I just sell them on eBay and bid on different stuff. The hardest part is setting up your eBay acct and Paypal acct but take your time and walk through the steps. I think auctions of any type are fun. Some times we load up some of our junk and go to the country auctions they have here in the south.

Your I have sold twice, first one without a hitch, second one to a nutcase who caused all kinds of problems, haven't used it since. Yard sales are not so good either though.
