They exhibit the ignorance public schools have created in many young people today. We better wake real soon, time's running out!

When Yahoo sees the word senior in the question, it sends them to this category. The kid sees the word senior and automatically assumes it means senior in high school. Yahoo should make this plainer by stating the category is senior citizens, not just seniors. I don't blame the kids for this, it's an honest mistake.

Because that's where Y/A directs the questions. The filters see the word "senior" and figure that's the appropriate spot for their question, so that's where they send them. If Y/A stepped up and modified the word "seniors" with the word "citizens", the kids would probably avoid us like the plague.

Because they don't bother to read the whole title of the category (all they see is "senior" and assume that means high school, since everyone knows it's only high schoolers who use computers) and/or have reading comprehension problems.

They just see the seniors title and think that it is high school seniors, not to worry though we senior citizens have all the experience of life so probably can teach them a thing or two.

Yahoo's computers flag the word "Seniors" and put their questions here. I think they keep coming back because they like us and our wisdom. In other categories I've seen many comments about us being the nicest people on YA.

I'm going to say because they assume king of the world status. In high school senior is the goal, not so much in real life. as a consequence of that they see the category, and assume it's for them.
I kind of enjoy their questions on their" oh so important lives" and think hope you enjoy this' cause reality is coming.

I don't know. Maybe the schools are so poor that they cannot read or understand English? But I sure wish the Yahoo people would give our category a different name. Older and experienced. Used up humans. Slightly out of our youth Getting older. Something. But the kids cannot be made to understand that we are not just a bunch of seventeen and eighteen year olds.

Because they are young enough to think that Yahoo dedicated a category just for high school seniors. lol

because they are accustomed to allowing computers to make default decisions for them. When the software reads the word 'senior', the question defaults to this category. The kids DONT LOOK, they just click.
same reason they jump on here to answer. Then end up here by accident due to the word 'senior' and they look no further.
