Is this politically correct speech?

Mormon doctrine would not get far today. Are statements below why they had to change?

Not only was Cain called upon to suffer, but because of his wickedness he became the father of an inferior race. A curse was placed upon him and that curse has been continued through his lineage and must do so while time endures. Millions of souls have come into this world cursed with a black skin and have been denied the privilege of Priesthood and the fulness of the blessings of the Gospel. These are the descendants of Cain. Moreover, they have been made to feel their inferiority and have been separated from the rest of mankind from the beginning.

The curse from God is "not" skin color. The curse from God was language. God gave man kind different languages to force them to scattered upon the earth.

I know that the mormons do have a problem with people with skin color. Wonder what type of problem they would have if they were to meet the disciples of Jesus only to find out that not all of them were white?

In a sense, Cain cursed himself by God because of his jealous of his brother because God was willing to except Able's offering verse Cain's, which was the "works" of his own hand.

Able's verses Cain's offering to God is the classic example why it's by "...grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

If it was such an inferior race, then why did they out number the rest of the race? The only "politically correct speech" is what the Clinton's say it is! It was they who invented it after all. I say plenty that is not PC and I do not care if others think that I may be offending someone or not; I speak the truth and I let God worry about the consequences!

No it's not PC. The LDS church has done a great job of covering up their past racism and today many are tolerant of black people. You should read what Brigham Young wrote on subjects like this. Either way the Mormons are going to find excuse for it because their church had a 'revelation' about allowing blacks the priesthood in 1978.

i think of loose speech is basically in many situations loose to the single utilising it. someplace alongside the way, somebody, someplace is going to get indignant by utilising somebody else's loose speech, and so a great debate is going on till that factor era/sentence is considered politically incorrect and banned. i assume we could desire to continually basically evaluate ourselves fortunate that as quickly as we use our loose speech and it offends somebody we don't spend something of our organic lives in a dingy penitentiary, or shot interior the returned of the pinnacle.

I'm assuming that you know he was wrong about blacks. That is a sign of the times. In His day not just Mormons thought bad things about blacks, EVERYONE did. I mean, We were slaves. People didn't think too highly of us.

Yes he was racist, but so were the vast majority of people in that time

Well that is the inherent problem with Christianity isn't it, with each newer version of it the truth becomes all the more blurred. Mormons call themselves the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. So you could very well be missing the boat in regards to them. Repent Repent now or you could suffer the consequence.

First off, let me say that I think Mormons are ...how shall we say it, "way out there." That their doctrine was written by a bigot isn't really in question for me.

However, I feel that Mormons do have the right to defend themselves on your questions. Rumor has it you have most of them blocked.

No, it is not politically correct speech. Similar to most of the Bible in its "political incorrectness". God doesn't much care for being "politically correct".

Probably not very PC, but probably not raelly any of your business either. Just chill. Not eveyrone is going to believe in your God the same way you do.

  • There are still Mormons today, in case you haven't noticed, so your first statement is wrong.

P.S. Why aren't you out attacking atheists or pagans instead? I don't remember the Bible instructing you to blindly attack other followers of Jesus, just atheists and pagans.
