Is Put-In-Bay, OH a good place for a fall honeymoon?
I'm getting married in September, and we're looking for a fun and affordable place to go that is less than a 4 hour drive away from Fort Wayne, IN. Put-In-Bay looks super nice with a good night life and Cedar Point right next door. Is this a good place to go for a honeymoon? If you've been there, where are some good places to stay and what things should we see if we go? If it isn't a good place to go, what are some alternatives that are roughly the same distance or less? Remember, we have a budget, too!

If you want to see the REAL Hawaii, stay out of Honolulu or Maui. Both places are tourist traps. Yeah, yeah, yeah to all of you who aren't from Hawaii. I was born and raised there, so yeah, if you want to get ripped off on high prices go and see Honolulu and Maui. If you want to see the real beauty of the islands go to the outer islands. Natural beauty, NO CONCRETE jungle, name brand stores and other amenities that you can find anywhere in a major city. Isn't that why you are going to Hawaii? To see a volcano spewing lava into the ocean. And yes it's still going. Crystal clear water, white and black sand beaches, tropical rain forests, clean fresh air. But it's up to you if you want to see something that you can find on the mainland. Just a local boy trying to make a suggestion.
