Does anybody know how much is maintenance for a Porsche cayenne??

i dont know exactly but my friend said it cost a couple hundred

I don't want to steer you away from buying a Porsche, but If you need to ask then you may not be able to really afford the costs involved with a Porsche. The only way I have owned Porsches ov the last 23 years is because I perform all my own maintenance. The hourly rate is higher than other vehicle because it is... Porsches are typically more complex than lets say a Chevy, but you get what you pay for. Porsches are a thrill to drive and people are noticed when they drive them. Tune ups are not very frequent. The service intervals are as follows:

2003 - 2006

20,000 miles for Oil and Oil Filter or every year

80,000 miles for Air Filter or every 4 years

40,000 miles for Spark Plugs or every 4 years

Fuel Filters are Maintenance Free

Engine Coolant is Permanent

2007 - 2008

12,000 miles for Oil and Oil Filter or every year

72,000 miles for Air Filter or every 4 years

36,000 miles for Spark Plugs or every 4 years

Fuel Filters are Maintenance Free

An oil change could cost you $500 at the dealership. I would find what is referred to as an "Indy" or Independent service provider. The shop rate is more inline with other vehicles. With a Cayenne you may consider the VW Dealership, since there is allot in common with the VW Touareg. Now if the car has failure, and all do fail from time to time and Porsche is rated #1 by JD Powers as far a time between failure or failure per 1,000's of miles, look out. Parts are not cheap nor is the labor or the number of hours to diagnose and R and R the failed part. I love my 996tt and would only trade it for a 997tt.
