Being a paper girl is something you can do at 14 yrs old. For a job such as a cashier at a grocery store, you need to be at least 16 yrs of age. Even when you turn 16 in a couple of years, you will still need an ID (Indentification) card to prove your age, and they'll do a background check just to make sure that you can legally work i.e. having a clean record; no felonies or misdemeanors whatsoever. Hope that helps!

ok. entrepeaunering, no.. your way too young with no experience to be doing that. what some of the other posters have said is dish washer, bag boy.. thats not a female job (im gonna assume you are, your avatar and baby sitting) and neither really is paper route. try a hostess. where i live, 16 year old girls fight to the death to be hostesses. maybe where you are from 14 may work. or try brusters. or, a clothing store. think about where you want to work, would you be happy there. would you care if your friends saw you, are their discounts. at 14, not many open doors. but go around and ask. and last but not least, your dad. filing papers, something do to i bet

well..where i live there is only one place you could have possibly got a job but they decided to stop paying 14 year old and make it purely volunteer based
my suggestion is to volunteer first because at this day in age no one is going to hire a 14 year old except for a relative
get some experience so that when you turn 16 getting a job will be a piece of cake ;)

Why not team-up with dad in food-delivery business? Get your ad out to your neighbours, especially those who are lazy to cook. Research on the best price, then get a bicycle and deliver. if things work out, not only will you get some $$$, you will also get some invaluable lessons on marketing, advertising and sales, all from scratch! But first, wheck with your Dad if food home-delivery is legal.
