Not at all. In fact I'm a registered democrat voting for a patriot in the Rep Party.

In 2006 was the first time I ever voted straight ticket Republican. But I am disappointed with the Republicans and have joined the Alan Keyes campaign. There is, however, a girl running for county commissioner who is a Democrat and I expect to vote for her. I used to vote mostly Republican, especially when I didn't know the person. Now that I am out of the GOP I will probably leave a lot of races blank.

I have wandered away from my main choice of party but it was for particular individuals. They were more like my party than their own.
Most candidates have views that appeal to the base of the party and those differences are a jumping off place for most.
