Is there such a thing as Yahoo/Msn Lottery Promotions?
Received an email stating that I had won some Yahoo/Msn Lottery Promotion. Is this for real? If not, why does Yahoo and MSN allow these people or businesses that send these sort of emails to people, get away with it? If we the people can get wrapped over the knuckles for putting the wrong sort of things onto the internet, why can't these people be punished for doing such a despicable act.

Its call phishing email/spam. It is incredibly difficult to track that sort of activity if it comes from several thousand different PC's that were hacked into. But no, it is not real. You can report it to yahoo's abuse department. Good luck.

It is fake.
The reason yahoo and MSN don't do anything about it is because the sheer volume of emails and the amount of money it would cost to filter this type of thing.
